Frequently Asked Questions

What is import and export Licensing

Import and export licensing refers to the legal permissions and documentation required by governments to allow the movement of goods across borders. In the context of sustainable green technologies — we help with the import and export licensing of an enzyme-based additive that makes plastic biodegradable — these licenses play a critical role in regulating compliance, ensuring safety, and promoting global accessibility. By supporting the responsible trade of eco-innovations, licensing frameworks help accelerate the global shift toward environmentally friendly solutions.

We test our 100% biodegradable plastics with a BMP testing method by an independent laboratory and over the longer term to ensure they meet standards ASTM D5511, ASTM D5526 and ASTM D5988.

This test was conducted for a period of 410 days in an independent laboratory in accordance with ASTM D5988.

The test is considered a true landfill test. It provides a realistic representation of biodegradation should a material be disposed of in an environment where it will be exposed to moisture, oxygen, light and soil. The results showed 68% biodegradation of the sample over a 13 month testing period.

After 64 days 3.5% biodegradation was shown in this test.

We can get fast results in an anaerobic environment. This test is used to validate if a material can convert to methane (biogas) in high heat, high moisture, no light, and limited oxygen environments by replicating the environment found in an anaerobic digester or landfill bioreactor.

This test provides realistic results of how fast a material could convert biogas (methane) in the conditions found in municipal landfills. This is a long term test that replicates a landfll environment of low heat, high pressure, limited oxygen, no light and low moisture. Results are typically much slower than those of the ASTM D5511, but also more accurate to landfill performance.

This technology uses an organic additive, which is:

An organic food source.
Approved by USFDA for food contact.
Mixed in a small ratio that does not affect the parent plastic material properties.
The only biodegradable plastic bottle in Australia and NZ today.
